The teacher education institution of BTC, Diphu was established in the year of 1987 situated in the hearth of District Capital, KAAC, Diphu on prime land by occupying Dag No. 322 under Vill: Chandra Nagar (Rongmonjir) Mouza : Jamunapar P.O. & P.S. : Diphu, Dist. Karbi Anglong measuring land 15B 2L as allotted by the authority of KAAC, Diphu. This institution was come into effort moulded by giving some local social activist and leaders like Lt. Samsing Hanse, Ex. Minister of Assam, Late Lonkam Teron & Sri Lunse Timung renowned Karbi writer and Ex. EM, KAAC, Diphu of their dedication and selfless services of its founders and architects who sacrifices in its inception is a magnificent story in itself.
The Basic Training Centre, DIphu had owned a recognized institution by NCTE, ERC Bhubaneswar, Odisha after assessment was made satisfactory report by the joint visit. Initially it was permitted one unit intake capacity to conduct the 2 years D.El.Ed. PSTE course and latter on the same has enhanced another intake capacity. Now it has 100 of students have accommodated for undergoing the course.
It is a matter of great pride for our institution that the KKHOU has been integrated as study centre to carry out the 2 years D.El.Ed. ISTE course in support of backlog category of untrained teacher in LP leval in the district. The institution offer itself as stakeholder on academic support in the govt. intervention since the OBB, DPEP, SSA and RMSA implemented in the filed of education.
The institution has the primary mission to enhance the quality education, capacity building, professional skill development and to product a good human resources which will not only to impart the lesion within the four walls boundary but also to transfer optimum knowledge and skill of all pedagogic issues implement effectively to the generation of new millennium.
